Chapter Twenty-Three

Lennox was just curious, but Riley turned white as a sheet and cursed. “Did you—have you—oh God…” Riley started to scramble up, but Lennox refused to let go of his hand, tugging him back down.

“Hey, don’t go. You don’t have to tell me if you don’t want to. I didn’t mean to upset you. Don’t be mad. I was really just curious…” Lennox tried to reassure, squeezing his fingers. Simba strolled out of the kitchen, took one look at Riley, then trotted over, trying to curl up in his lap.

Lennox winced when he saw the cat’s claws dig into Riley’s naked thigh. Riley just shifted Simba to the side and tugged his jeans up, stripping the condom off and tying it. Lennox reluctantly pulled up his pants as well, though he left them unbuttoned.

“I just… I should have known you’d find out eventually. I just…didn’t think the videos would blow up like they did. I needed some extra cash a few months ago and thought camming would be a better alternative to hooking.” Riley sounded embarrassed, and Lennox hated that he felt that way.

“There’s nothing wrong with camming,” he said, shifting up on his knees to better meet Riley’s eyes. “I’m not going to judge you, if you’re worried about that. I mean, you’ve seen the nude paintings I’ve done. Pretty much the whole Texas art scene has seen my schlong at one point or another. Besides, you know you’re fucking hot, right? I’m not surprised at all that they blew up.”

“Did you watch them?” Riley finally asked, after several seconds of silence.

“No,” Lennox pouted. “Mike told me about them today at the party. Trust me, there ain’t no way I’d have been able to watch you have sex on screen and not rub my dick raw.”

“I mean, I don’t have sex with other people…just solo videos,” Riley said quickly, like he was in a hurry to explain in case Lennox was worried—which he wasn’t, though maybe he should be. They’d never clarified their relationship, never talked about an expectation for exclusivity, even if Lennox hadn’t been sleeping with anyone else since they’d started anyway.

So Lennox could only shrug. “I wouldn’t have been angry, even if you did. I don’t know what this is between us yet”—he gestured between the two of them— “but I can’t hold you to a rule we’ve never discussed.”

Riley grew quiet, glancing away for a long moment. When he turned back, his eyes were wide and sad. “Have you been sleeping with other people?”

“No,” Lennox answered quickly. “Just you. Trust me, I’m more than satisfied with your dick.” He winked in an attempt to lighten the mood, and it might have been his imagination, but it looked like Riley relaxed. “Honestly, though, I’ve never seen the need to have more than one partner at a time, even if it’s pretty casual, but I don’t judge people who do.
